new york - woodstock - road trip

It was beautiful yesterday, 75 degrees kinda beautiful, with bright blue skies so my sister, cousins and I decided to venture up to Woodstock NY for the day.

By the time we got up there we were all hungry so we stopped for lunch at Bread Alone before walking around town. The place we had originally planned to eat at was closed, but it worked out that it was because Bread Alone was amazing! I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in Woodstock.

There bread is handcrafted, organic, local, & healthy & they also have pastries, bagels, cakes, pies, tarts, & granola.

We all got sandwiches & sat outside enjoying the sun and delicious food.
I got brie, apples, roasted red peppers, arugula, sunflower sprouts, pesto, and spicy grain mustard on their homemade whole grain ciabatta roll :)

They have guitars through out town that are all uniquely crafted. This one was my favorite.

I loved this idea for outdoor furniture: slate slabs.

Another guitar...love the eye.

Local colorful art.

Another recommended stop: The Tea Shop of Woodstock

They have an excellent selection of loose leaf teas. You can get bulk tea to go as well as a freshly brewed cup of any of there teas to go. I got Jasmine Green Tea in bulk & a cup of Tropical Green to go...which was delicious.

The tea shop also has a selection of locally crafted chocolate; including tea infused varieties & a vegan option. I got a salted carmel one to go :)

I loved these handmade animals.

In love with this light.

Beautiful patio stone shaped leaves...I would live to have this in my backyard/garden one day.

Beautiful waterfall right off Tinker Street in town.

The Little Apple....made my day. They serve USDA certified organic frozen yogurt, cold pressed juice, and superfood smoothies... I was in heaven. This is a must stop if you are in Woodstock!

Loved the way they decorated inside.

I got strawberry & vegan coconut frozen yogurt & loaded it up with unlimited toppings for $1 (which was a great deal). Topping I got: mango, blueberries, strawberries, granola, yogurt covered raisins, goji berries, hemp seed, bee pollen, and spirulina.
.....
I wish I had another right now.

Beautiful candle dripping art at Candle Stock

They have local honey locally handcrafted beeswax candles at Candle Stock. I got two of them along with this adorable cast iron owl candle holder. I've decided that I only want to burn beeswax candles from now on. There are so many benefits including: 100% natural fuel, burns brighter, cleaner & longer, emits the same light spectrum as the sun, release negative ions to clean the air & invigorate the mind, and naturally honey scented.

I also got this beautiful star, from the Mirabai  bookstore, that holds a tea light candle (I got bees wax ones at Candle Stock as well). I have been wanting one of these for awhile & can't wait to hang it in my room and see it lit up. Mirabai describes itself as a resource for conscious living & they have a lot of wonderful books.

It was a wonderful day, thank you Woodstock.
Peace until next time.
