A small vineyard that uses hybrid grape varieties which are grown using organic practices.
Open seven days a week, in season, for free wine tasting.
We got to taste all of these wines, plus the blueberry...which was my favorite :)
The tasting room was also filled with locally crafted Maine products.
These Bixby chocolate bars above are created right in Belfast, ME. They contain pure chocolate, are completely free of genetically modified organisms (GMO’s), & preservatives, plus contain no added sugars. The chocolate is combined with exotic spices, healthy nuts and dried fruits and all ingredients are natural or organic. I could not pass this up so I got the Whippersnapper bar to try, it includes of organic dark chocolate 72%, wild Maine blueberries, walnuts, and tellicherry pepper. It was delicious!
"The Atlantic Brewing Company began as Acadia Brewing in 1990. At first the brewery was located inside the Lompoc Cafe in downtown Bar Harbor and had a maximum capacity of just one barrel at a time. Within a few years the demand for our beers had grown so much that we moved the brewery two doors down from the restaurant and increased our capacity to seven-barrel batches. However, by 1998, we had outgrown that facility as well and so we moved again - this time to our current location on the Knox Road. Our estate brewery was built on the grounds of a 19th century Maine farmstead, employing native vegetation and local stonework. Today Our Beers are available throughout Maine and in select states in the eastern US. To find our products near you check out our Beer Finder."
Free tastings here as well. Once again the blueberry variety (Blueberry Ale) was my favorite.
