vermont - haystack mountain

Yesterday the day started out cloudy & there was even a shower in the early afternoon, but by two o'clock the skies had cleared, the sun was shining, & it was beautiful out. Jon & I sat outside on the porch for a while    reading & enjoying lunch, but the weather was just too nice not to go out & do something so we decided to go hiking at Haystack Mountain <--- if you click on this link you'll find a map of the trail.
I have never been hiking here before, but Jon has, so it was a treat to explore somewhere new & although some of the leaves have fallen from the trees there is still the beautiful color spectrum of autumn everywhere you look. The hike led to the the summit of Haystack Mountain where there was breathtaking views of the rolling green mountains.

I dream of living somewhere like this.

Jon made organic raw milk hot chocolate before we left, which was the prefect warming treat once we reached the summit (it was quite windy & chilly up there). *If you have not had hot chocolate with raw milk & organic fair trade chocolate I highly recommend it, this was my first experience & I don't think I'll never be able to go back soo delicious.

My camera died after the picture above so I took some pictures with my phone as well...

This is Jon's I'm cold face :)
