kinfolk

I have been wanting to subscribe to Kinfolk ever since I first discovered the magazine because I was immediately intrigued by the content & styling.

Kinfolk magazine is a quarterly, 144-page, ad-free print magazine that collects ideas from a growing international community of artists, writers, designers, photographers, cooks and others who are interested in creating small gatherings and finding new things to make and do.
*The above passage is how Kinfolk describes themselves on their website.

Well, I never got around to subscribing to Kinfolk, but last week I decided to venture to the mall for the first time in ages to look around for a few new key items I have been longing for. I didn't end up getting anything that was on my wish list, but while I was in Anthropologie browsing through the sale section I came across Kinfolk Editions six, seven, & eight.  I got all three for twenty dollars, originally they are each around that price, it was very exciting :) & it was my only purchase of the day, but a very good one. I have not been able to put these magazines down since, every free moment I find myself reading them...although I am also trying to savor them. I become more & more smitten the more I read, each page & each story teaches me something that I find to hold true value which is refreshing. I highly recommend this magazine, it is worth every penny. I have since subscribed to the quarterly for the upcoming additions & The Kinfolk Table Book has been added to my holiday wish list. Also check out the Kinfolk website which is teeming with beautiful stories & images.

I'm up in Vermont for the week to visit Jon so there will be posts to come about my time here.
I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend.
