Because it's so peaceful being in the woods, I use it as a time to unwind & reflect.
I let my mind wander & see where my thoughts take me.
On this particular day I gained some clarity...
The woods were soaked with the rain that fell the day before.
I hike in these woods 2-3 times a week, but this is the first time I had seen them so soon after a heavy rain.
It was very interesting to see how the valleys were now sprinkled with little ponds where the water had pooled & I could see how what had been dry for so long was once marsh land. I relished in the fact that I could see the change, that I was connected in someway to this place & I had this thought...

I know this land,
& that feels good.
O' how I long to live in the woods.

The dream that tops my list, that I think of everyday, is to have a plot of land & woods of my very own to explore & wander through, & to live symbiotically with; through which I tend to it & it provides for me.
I wish to get to know a piece of this earth better than all the rest.

What dream tops your list?
