After hiking the dunes we jumped into our car & drove to The Point of No Return at Great Sand Dunes National Park. From there we parked & walked down to Medano Creek. The water levels were low because of how late into the season it was, but for me there was still enough. Plus, it was a really wonderful contrast after the dunes to walk barefoot in the warm water & soft sand of the creek. The scenery was incredible as well & we got to see the changing of seasons for the first time with some beautiful colored leaves from trees along the creek.
