colorado - denver - a sunday adventure

After The Source last Sunday we headed to the Denver Handmade Homemade Market. We had never been to this area of Denver before, but loved all the colorful buildings, vintage/thrift stores, & art galleries. It will be nice to go back on a day when the weather is a bit nicer to explore more.

This awesome tear drop camper turned mobile vintage goods shop was parked right outside the market, & I loved everything about it.

It was so cute inside!
They had clothing as well, & I got a beautiful long green dress that I may be wearing for Christmas...either way I'll show it here in the near future.

A few pictures from inside the market...

Vintage/Thrift Store Exploration...

We made one more stop before calling it a day at The Denver Christkindle Market which is a German themed holiday market. It takes place mostly outside & each vendor has a cute wooden home like booth. There were a lot of cute homemade items, food, & mulled wine - which was delicious & really hit the spot as the snow fell down around us.

It was a wonderful Sunday, & I'm very grateful I got to experience some of the holiday markets Denver has to offer.

colorado - denver - the source

This past Sunday the weather foretasted snow on & off all day, so I decided to take off work. I took the opportunity of having a Sunday off to do some of the things I don't usually get to do during my weekdays off...like brunch :) Some friends had recently gone to The Source for the first time & had nothing but good things to say, so we decided to check it out. The Source is an artisan food market located in a landmark 1880's building, that features 13 vendors & a bar, plus there was a handful of holiday vendors when we went. Below are snippets of our time spent at The Source.

A beautiful floral shop filled with so many things I wanted to fill our apartment with.

A French style bakery that focuses on high quality ingredients. We got two bialys, which created the foundation for an amazing breakfast the following day, & that chocolate cake that can be seen below - so delicious!

We had brunch at Comida & it was incredible! You can see the brunch menu here. We got spicy bloody mary's & they were the best ones I've had yet, plus the presentation of them was awesome.

I also got the lemon queso fresco pancakes which were topped with macerated berries, blueberry jalapeƱo syrup & toasted pepitas - they were delicious as well.

A cheese & specialty food shop. I got a bulb of fermented black garlic which I had never heard of before, but was delicious smeared on bread *as recommended by the person who helped me.

Beautiful jewelry, it was very hard for me to not get one of those sparkly items below.

I would love to have these Tarot cards in my life.

So clever!

I loved this place & wanted basically everything in it, so we will definitely be back.
