travel & adventures - vt - east putney falls

Last weekend we went on a family adventure to the East Putney Falls. Jon had tried to go once before but had not been able to locate them. Luckily, at the Brattleboro Farmers Market *post to come* earlier that morning we got to talking to someone who lived right by them & was able to give us exact directions. We headed right over after the market & were so happy to locate the falls. They were beautiful & there was a wonderful swimming area as well. Jon jumped in & loved it, but I'm going to have to wait until next year when we come back as a family of four :) This spot is so close to our house & I could definitely see us spending a lot of time here in the summer.

The Boulder County Farmers' Market brings you locally grown vegetables, meats, fruits, flowers, plants, gourmet cheeses and wines sold by the local farmers that produce them. While you're shopping for items like fresh vegetables and fruits (many of them organically grown) you can also enjoy a tasty pastry from local bakeries or a meal created by local chefs. We tried to come here as often as possible in order to source the majority of our groceries through the local vendors. It was also a wonderful weekend activity & even though pets aren't allowed we would often bring Milo & take turns hanging out  in the park that borders the market while the other did some shopping/eating. The park makes for an excellent picnic spot to enjoy some of your market goodies as well. If you're ever in the area during the market season I would not pass up a visit!
